The client had already chosen and purchased their new master bedroom's furniture set, now it was my job to put it all together. The transformation was excellent.

Color Me Katie

If you've never had the delight of perusing the pages of the blog, "Color Me Katie" you are truly missing out. Hailing from Brooklyn and labeling herself as a "freelance photographer and street artist," this delightfully talented young woman creates daily doses of joy and a contagious attitude to love the life you're living. Her "Shadow Project" is particularly wonderful. Prepare to smile...

Framing

I love the idea of applying a gorgeous and vibrant wall paper to a focal wall but the idea of framing it in molding is an even more fantastic idea! Take a look at some of the gorgeous options at York Wallcoverings.

Renaissance Revival

An Italian Renaissance Revival House in Maryland is Returned to a State of Grace. Thank you AD!

One Red Door

In China, it's tradition to paint the front door red before the new year, to invite good luck and happiness.

In Catholicism, the red door on a chapel symbolized the blood of Christ, and other martyrs, to signify that the ground beyond the door (inside the church) was holy, and a sanctuary from physical and spiritual evils.

In Ireland, front doors are painted red to ward-off ghosts and evil spirits.

In Feng Shui, the color red is the auspicious color and allows good energy in.

At my house, it signifies that we had some paint left over.

This Client had some lovely pieces to work with as well as a bright open room. By re-painting, rearranging their existing furnishings and adding drapery the space is transformed into a warm and cohesive living room.
