...and she does the most beautiful artwork.

Brilliant

Previously we used the corragated tin on the face of Cool Beans' front counter but on the walls of the boys' bedroom was another great option.

Domino Magazine is my must read for everything UBBER Cool!

I always love me a great, white kitchen but the usage of the creamy basque tiles as compliment to this look is wonderful here and may just need to be reproduced in my own upcoming project.

Bringing the outdoors in even when there's a snowstorm in March

There is a blizzard outside my window. A snow storm! AND it is only a few days until the month of April is upon us. Since I am craving springtime, the Secret Garden tables sang to me. Thai home furniture company Ayodhya’s Secret Garden Collection is bringing nature indoors - without the effort and attention that traditional, live plants require. Each table consists of various types of dried moss beneath a transparent glass tabletop. No green thumb required as the tables do not require watering.

Wallpaper Comeback

In my childhood home wallpaper covered just about every wall in our house. There was the rust colored paper with golden diamond accents that went just half way up the wall in our family room and the violet wallpaper in my own bedroom that had tiny bouquets of white crepe jasmine placed in tiny horizontal lines up and down the wall. There is no doubt that wallpaper is back and I love it! For those who haven't quite warmed to the idea or still believe that painting darker colors on your walls makes your room appear smaller or maybe you are just not quite ready to jump in with both feet to the new wallcovering fad the idea of placing a square of wallpaper on one focal wall framed in a lovely trim work is a brilliant compromise.

the sun BETTER come out tomorrow

There are very few things that I love more than working outside in my yard and wouldn't it be magnificent to create something such as the above. The most recent and sporadic glimpses of spring tease my desire to go out and dig in the earth.

Gorgeous lighting with natural elements.

Yuento Music Balloon

It's not really a balloon, it's a plug in speaker for your iPod from Yuento. Simply plug in and play. This sponge foam speaker reminds us of 80's TV presenter microphones and will happily sit on a desk or hanging out of a pocket while you play your tunes or check the latest podcasts. Now you can cycle without headphones, irritate people on the bus and tube and share new music with friends without untangling headphone wires.

Hans Wegnert

Today I fell in love....again. It's an affliction I have suffered with for as long as I can remember--that of falling in love with ease. I believe Christopher Reeve as Superman started it all and now Hans Wegnert has me at "The Chair!" Awesome!!!

Dress Design for Shabby Apple Dresses

THE Shabby Apple is having a design contest and I just had to accept the challenge and add a few ideas my own. I love so many of their beautiful dresses!

My first design stemmed from the idea of a perfectly figure-flattering dress in a delicious shade of Kelly green. While the style whispers of a 50's silhouette with its full skirt, very generous pleating and boat neckline, the bell sleeves and shoulder trimming give it that 21st century edge. I see it with an 'under- cami' to accommodate the wide sleeves and a lined skirt. I could imagine myself living in this dress!

The second screams Marilyn Monroe Wiggle dress but in a gorgeous pattern. Embroidered/French Toile/Amy Butler-esque print...fantastic! A cap sleeve and round neckline with a tie front. Contrasting 'belt' and a slimming pencil type skirt. I love the idea of using brown and blue. This could be stunning!

la bibliochaise

I have stacks of books and so when I ran across the aptly named "la Bibliochaise" by Nobody & Co. Such a clever solution and what a conversation piece this could make. Clever times a hundred, really. Check it out here.
